US Musical: My Fair Lady

Upper School students present a production of Lerner and Loewe's musical My Fair Lady. Much-loved numbers (Wouldn't It Be Loverly, I'm Getting Married in the Morning, The Ascot Gavotte) accompany the tale of Professor Higgins's wager that he can transform flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady by teaching her to speak "properly." Social conflict, out-and-out misogyny, and high comedy lead to an emotional reckoning with the tables turned and genuine human feeling finally allowed its place. A large cast directed by Ali Boag and choreographed by Mandy Stallings bring what is widely regarded as "a perfect musical" to new life. Tickets are on sale beginning Tuesday, April 18 in the front hall before school and at lunch: Adults: $10, Students: $6.
