Dr. Jennifer Weyburn Will Be Packer's Next Head of School

Packer's Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Jennifer Weyburn to serve as Packer's 10th Head of School, effective July 1, 2019.

Dr. Weyburn, a New York-area native with 25 years of experience in education and school leadership, is currently Director (Head of School) at the Copenhagen International School, a 970-student, PK-12 school in Denmark's capital.

"Dr. Weyburn was chosen as Packer's next head because of her experience, intelligence, education, and performance at every stage of the interview process," read the announcement from Deborah Juantorena, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Ronan P. Harty, Chair of the Head of School Search Committee. The announcement was shared with the Packer community on October 3, 2018.

"She has also demonstrated superb leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and, perhaps most important, the accessibility and openness necessary in a demanding and high-profile position."

Prior to her role at Copenhagen International School, Dr. Weyburn was the Deputy Head of School for Educational Programs and Student Learning at Shanghai American School, China's largest international school. Before that, she worked for 10 years at Atlanta International School in Atlanta, GA, in a variety of leadership roles, including Middle School Head.

Dr. Weyburn's experience across the world and the United States "makes her uniquely poised to lead us as we strive to develop globally-minded citizens," read the announcement.

"I have been inspired by the faculty and staff's commitment to providing Packer's students with an excellent education within a caring, diverse community," said Dr. Weyburn, pictured below. "I cannot wait to join the team in 2019 to chart a course for Packer's future."
