Congratulations to Packer's NYS championship chess team! 29 Packer Pelikings from grades K-8 traveled to Saratoga Springs last weekend for the 2025 NYS Scholastic Chess Championships—the largest state tournament ever, with over 1,700 participants. They came away with three "Top Three" team awards and four "Top Ten" individual prizes, and did it in the most Packer way possible: with purpose, heart, and JOY!
- K-5 Under 1400 | First Place Tie (out of 28 teams)
- K-5 Under 1000 | First Place Tie (out of 48 teams)
- K-5 Under 600 | Third Place Team (out of 43 teams)
It was a breakout performance many years in the making! Way to go, Pelikings! ♟️👏
