Remote Learning in the Preschool and Lower School

Our goal is to support children’s development through experiential learning and inquiry.

Remote learning offers authentic opportunities to focus on key concepts, knowledge, and skills. Learning engagements are fun and playful and emphasize interaction and creativity. Activities involve a balance of on-screen and off-screen tasks designed to engage learners in experiences that connect to previous learning and the current curriculum.

Students will be able to access remote learning initially via email from teachers to their parents or guardians. We are also exploring the use of Seesaw, a free learning app for young children, which families can download onto a digital device.

Depending on the length of Packer’s closure, we have planned three phases of our remote learning plan. You can preview our detailed PS/LS Remote Learning Plan, and please note that it may be refined after remote learning launches.

Remote learning for all students begins on Wednesday, April 1
