The Carol Shen Gallery enriches our curriculum by bringing thought-provoking exhibitions, gallery talks, and visiting artist programs directly to our students, our families, and the community.
As a teaching gallery, the Shen Gallery directly serves students in the Preschool through Upper School. Packer’s museum educator, Liz Titone, leads students in collaborating and discovering interdisciplinary connections between visual art and their studies in the sciences, performing arts, world languages, mathematics, history, and literature.
Recently featured artists include faculty members, Packer parents, and friends of the community who have debuted contemporary sculpture, film production design, Chinese calligraphy, and other diverse mediums. The Shen hosts the annual Parent Association-sponsored Faculty Arts Show each February and the capstone Senior Art Show each May.
Stephen Sollins P’19, P’25 uses geometry, grids, and systematic approaches of high modern, minimal, and conceptual art.
