Ken Solomon's artistry encourages contemplation. Through his photorealistic paintings and whimsical videos, he endeavors to capture and reassemble the ever-present torrent of information that shapes our world. Patrons of "Retrospective" witnessed an extraordinary mid-career retrospective showcasing the creations of this innovative and avant-garde artist.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Ken’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, NY and The Jumex Collection, Mexico City, MX. Ken’s work has been featured in renowned institutions such as FLAG Art Foundation, Portland Museum of Art and included in exhibitions nationwide including Size Does Matter, Curated by Shaquille O’Neal, Contemporary Artists and Ed Ruscha, Curated by Lisa Dennison, and REALLY? Curated by Beth Rudin DeWoody. His work has been reviewed and featured in publications including The New York Times, Modern Painters, The New Yorker, ArtNews, Art Forum and Time Out New York.
