Amadi Williams '21 Highlights Experiences of Packer's Black Fathers

Message from the artist, Amadi Williams '21:

Baba Weusi ("Black fathers" in Swahili) is a portrait series created created by Amadi William's '21 to highlight and explore the experiences of Black fathers within the Packer community.

"I want students, school professionals, families, and alumni to see the powerful, loving, and intelligent men who walk these halls," said Amadi. "More than that, this series challenges its viewers to see beyond the stereotypes. I wanted to focus on black love rather than black pain, and build on the concept of black representation."
