Adavanced Choreography Students Study Bioregions
For their recent bioregions project, AT Choreography students researched artists whose bioregions have deeply influenced their work, including choreographers Andrea Olsen, Rennie Harris, Pina Bausch, and visual artist Wangechi Mutu. Students were then asked to write the history of the place they call “home” and consider the impact it has had on their dance-making and choreography. They shared these stories with a partner, then used their partner's memories as inspiration for a three-minute solo piece.
