Pelicans of Color Reception
Each year, our Pelicans of Color join together for a special reception, where our alumni of color can connect with one another and meet a few members of Packer’s administration. This year, our new Head of School Dr. Jennifer Weyburn introduced herself and encouraged everyone to stay involved with Packer.
This year, we also presented some student work, including a video from Jordan Renville '20 that addressed police brutality in New York City. It was a wonderful opportunity to our alumni to see the work of students today.
Lunch Break at Packer
This year, we launched our first Lunch Break at Packer. This new event series was designed to allow students to chat with alumni of varying demographics, identities, and careers during lunchtime. After receiving feedback from our students, we hosted the first Lunch Break for women of color. This event allowed our students to talk openly about their experience at Packer and hear more from our alumni about their lives and perspectives. If you’d like to participate in a future Lunch Break at Packer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Washington, D.C. Alumni Luncheon
This year, Jen Weyburn had the opportunity to meet alumni at the annual luncheon in Washington, D.C. This event, also attended by Geoff Brewer, President of the Alumni Association, and David Minder, Director of Alumni, offers our D.C.-area alumni the chance to catch up with one another and Packer.
