Over the summer, there have been a few changes here at Packer. In September, we opened the Packer Early Learning Center at 100 Clinton Street, one block from our main campus.
The original building was constructed in 1923 and had been used as offices. Packer renovated the interiors to prepare it to house all of our Preschool and Kindergarten classes. The design included a new green rooftop that features an art studio and an outdoor play space. Hudson Studio Architects, who designed the building, ensured that it adhered to Passive House standards, the world's leading standard in energy efficient construction.
Also over the summer, the Hart Library in Founder's Hall (below) was also fully renovated. The Hart Library serves Packer's youngest learners, with a collection of nearly 25,000 volumes, and plenty of accessible places for children to sit and read.
Read and see much more about these developments in the Winter 2019 issue of the Packer Magazine.
