Please join us for Reunion 2020 to celebrate the following recipients of awards from the Alumni Association.
Dona Laughlin (Parent of Alumnus, Former Trustee, and Former Director of Alumni)
Dona, center wearing scarf, with the Alumni Board in 2019.
Dona Laughlin has been an important figure at Packer for more than 20 years. She started her life with Packer as the mother of Collin Laughlin ‘04. Dona served as the President of the Parent's Association for three years and as a Packer Trustee from 1997 until 2005. In 2006, she began her 12-year tenure as Director of Alumni at Packer. In this role, she helped keep the alumni community strong and connected. She worked deligently to engage our alumni with each other and the broader community, and created alumni programs that continue today. One of her many achievements in her time at Packer was helping to establish the Joan Eisenstein Award for Service, which honors those who demonstrate "outstanding volunteer leadership and service to the school.” We think it's only fitting that she receives the award for service that she helped create, for the work she has done with us here at Packer.
Dorothy Guerreri (Former Faculty)
Dorothy Guerreri was part of the Packer community for more than 40 years. During that time, she was a physical education and health teacher, a gymnastics coach, Ninth Grade prefect, a health curriculum coordinator, and chair of the Health Advisory Committee. She spent four decades in dedication to the lives and health of our students, and ultimately our alumni community. This year, we are proud to award Dorothy Guerreri the Alumni Award of Honor, given to those who exemplify the values inherent in a Packer education.
