Julian Wachner ’87 continues to make headlines with his dedication to classical music and his work at Trinity Church Wall Street where he is nearing his tenth anniversary as director of music.
The New York Times mentions that his tenure at Trinity Wall Street “has turned its artistic programming into a genuine cultural force, as adept in Baroque music as it is in the most modern sounds”. The New Yorker says that under Julian’s leadership, the choir “[touches] on Baroque, sacred, and organ music…[and] maintains a high standard”.
In addition to being the director of music, Wachner is the principal conductor, and occasionally performs on the organ at the “Pipes at One” series on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. View Trinity Church Wall Street's calendar for a chance to see him perform.
