The Packer Collegiate Institute invites applicants interested in teaching in our Upper School Math Department and leading our Upper School Math Support program. The position’s responsibilities will be half-time teaching with advising responsibilities and half-time in the support specialist role.

Applicants for the position should possess:
Math Support Specialist
-a desire to work with students in a small-group setting
-ability to adapt instruction to students’ individual learning needs in courses ranging from geometry to calculus
-experience with educational evaluations and recommendations and differentiated instruction
-a willingness to collaborate with math teachers to determine how to best support students in a wide range of courses
-prior experience teaching mathematics to Upper School students
-experience or interest in implementing an inquiry-based instructional approach
-a genuine desire to collaborate with colleagues
-a sincere and visible commitment to excellent teaching, utilization of best math teaching practices, and continued professional development
-comfort with and interest in working with students in an advisory capacity
