Integrator for Inclusive Teaching & Learning (2022-23 SY.)

The Integrator for Inclusive Teaching & Learning is responsible for supporting our vision of a diverse community of learners in which each person is valued and challenged. The integrator will provide leadership around effective culturally responsive teaching practices and foster professional growth for faculty to examine pedagogy through both study and practice. The integrator collaborates with administrators on the support and evaluation of the curriculum and coaching faculty in the implementation of this coursework.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of teaching experience, preferably at two school levels and academic coaching experience. The candidate should have deep emotional intelligence and a passion for sharing best practice pedagogy in the field, especially culturally responsive curricula. The integrator has reduced teaching responsibilities and a generous stipend, in order to fulfill the administrative responsibilities.

This position reports to the Head of Equity and Inclusion. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with other administrators (department and division heads) on evaluation and professional growth of culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Coach department heads and faculty in culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Design and execute assessments that address cohesion and continuity in culturally responsive curriculum in grades pk-12
  • Models cultural competence by recognizing one's own biases, actively analyzing one’s own internal belief systems and being an effective and respectful communicator
  • Serve on Department Heads team, responsible for broad curricular and instructional initiatives
  • Serve on Academic Council, responsible for school-wide programmatic planning
  • Teaches half time
