As Director of Annual Giving, what do you do for Packer?
My job is to help the school have the funds to give every student and faculty member the resources they need to thrive here at Packer. Together with my wonderful parent volunteers, we encourage the many members of the community who love Packer – parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and faculty and staff – to make a gift in support of our school.
Tell us about a specific time you found your job especially rewarding.
There is a parent at the school without a lot of financial resources, who comes to me at the end of each year and makes a gift with such gratitude for the education her child received at Packer that year. While it may be one of the smaller gifts we receive every year, it is among the most meaningful.
What is something that most Packer people wouldn't know about you?
Between the ages of 50 and 60, I learned to do a backbend.
If you had an inspirational fridge magnet (and we’re not saying you would), what would it say and why?
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life”. I find so much optimism and room to grow in that.
