Middle and Upper School Admission Director and Director of Financial Aid
Know Your Pelicans
As Middle and Upper School Admission Director and Director of Financial Aid, what do you do for Packer?
I recruit, interview and enroll prospective families for grades 5-12 and review applications and make financial aid awards (with the help of a committee) for grades K-12.
Tell us about a specific time you found your job especially rewarding.
I am especially lucky in my job that I feel rewarded all of the time! I love when I take a chance on a student and then see them flourish here. I take great pride when the kids that we accept into this community make a major impact, whether it is presenting their findings from years of research in the Science Research Program or choreographing a piece in the Dance Concert.
What’s one thing you love about your colleagues?
We have a lot of fun together! I knew from the minute I interviewed here years ago that this is a “work hard, play hard” kind of place...students and adults. Everyone is kind and willing to help each other out!
What is your favorite space on campus and why?
I am in the Admissions Office most of the time, which is beautiful. However, when I do get out, I really love the art studio — so colorful and vibrant. I love how messy it can get and how the natural light comes through.
I also love the busyness of the Student Center. I know, I know… it’s packed, but I love the vibe of the kids laughing and interacting in that space.
