What are your impressions of Packer so far? Our students? Your colleagues?
I am continually impressed with the level of professionalism and care shown by my coworkers to the students, and each other. The students show a desire to learn and level of inquiry that I have not experienced before. I thoroughly enjoy the diversity of the staff and the many talents they bring to the work environment.

As a Learning Support Specialist, I work one-on-one with students to strengthen their executive functioning skills, as well as their writing skills. One of my favorite parts of working at Packer is working with incredibly kind and talented students.
Outside of your job at Packer, what do you love to do?
Outside of Packer I love to read and spend time building community with old and new friends. I am new to Brooklyn, so I also enjoy exploring the different neighborhoods and restaurants throughout Brooklyn.
What's one thing most people at Packer would not know about you?
Most people at Packer would not know that I lived in Lexington, Kentucky for five years and attended the University of Kentucky.
Tell us about a specific time you found your job especially rewarding.
There are many moments when I have found my job rewarding, which is one of the reasons why I got into this profession. At a previous school, a student that I had worked with for over two years successfully created and defended a presentation to meet a graduation requirement. When I first began working with the student they were at a second grade reading level, so to see that student defend their presentation so brilliantly brought tears to my eyes.
