Know Your Pelicans
What is your favorite thing about Packer?
My favorite thing is being around the kids and my coworkers. The atmosphere and the environment at Packer — it's just nice.
Describe a favorite or memorable moment during your time at Packer.
For me a memorable moment was walking down the hallway one day, and seeing that a student had drawn a diagram including me as a part of his family! Knowing that he cared about me like that was pretty awesome.
Name a book/artwork/piece of music that changed your life and explain how.
One of my favorite books is Battle Royale by Koushun Takami... but a song that changed my life? That's a hard one: there are so many! A song I love is Stromae's, "Alors On Danse" — whenever I hear that song, no matter the mood, it makes me feel happy, energetic, ready for anything. I feel like I'm top of the world.
What are some things that most Packer people wouldn't know about you?
I was born and grew up in Guyana and came to the US on July 10, 2005 — Guyana Day.
I write and produce music, and I ran track in school. — Mostly sprinting — the 100 meter and 200 meter — though I did the 6000 meter once.
I love soccer: I played it relentlessly growing up. Soccer and ping pong — or "football" and "table tennis," as we would call it at home.
