A Message for Packer Families, Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni, and Friends

We are pleased to introduce IMPACT: Insights into Anti-Racism Work at Packer, a twice-yearly publication whose mission is to share the story of Packer’s anti-racism initiatives and programs with the wider school community.

As you will see, our anti-racism work extend beyond the work of Packer's Diversity and Equity team. These efforts engage our entire community, whose members have various roles to play. With IMPACT, we hope to convey the wide range of the school’s anti-racism work as well as insights into how we talk about racial equity and racial justice at Packer with children from ages 3 to 18, as well as among adults. We hope the stories will welcome you into our dialogue and learning journey, and that they will encourage you to join us in our commitment to this important work. 

On June 30, 2020, the Board of Trustees committed to a comprehensive 12-month Anti-Racism Action Plan. This work will extend beyond the current academic year, as we develop anti-racist practices across the school and subsequently analyze our success.

Diversity Mission Statement

Packer believes that healthy identity development is essential to the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.
