Pelican Society
Now in its second decade, the Pelican Society is a leadership giving program that recognizes and celebrates the school’s most loyal and generous donors --- those contributing $1,500 or more to Annual Giving each year. Through occasional special events for both the Head's Circle and the Pelican Circle, Pelican Society members learn about the school and have an opportunity to get together in a social setting.
In 2008-09, there were approximately 280 members of the Pelican Society whose combined gifts amounted to about 85% of the Annual Giving Fund total. Many of these Pelican Society members have joined the Head's Circle, created two years ago to recognize parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents and anyone else who makes a gift of $5,000 or more to Annual Giving.
In addition, the Pelican Society recognizes early and generous participation in Annual Giving by young alumni - those who have graduated from Packer in the past 15 years.
The Pelican Society recognizes Packer's most generous supporters at seven levels of giving:
Head's Circle
- Founders' Circle ......... $25,000 or more
- Harriet Packer Circle......... $20,000 - $24,999
- William Packer Circle ......... $10,000 - $19,999
- Bridge the Gap Circle ......... $5,000 - $9,999
Pelican Circle
- Gold Circle ......... $3,000 - $4,999
- 1845 Circle ......... $1,845 - $2,999
- Maroon Circle ......... $1,500 - $1,844
Young Alumni Circle
The Pelican Society also recognizes the generosity of Packer's youngest alumni through the Young Alumni Pelican Society:
- Joralemon Street Circle ......... $500 - $1,499
Alumni through 15th Reunion - First Decade Circle ......... $100 - $499
Alumni through 10th Reunion - Packer Pioneers ......... $50 - $99
