Faculty Visual Arts Exhibit and Music Concert

Sponsored by the Packer Parent Association
January 24, 2013

This Parent Association-sponsored annual event honors the creativity and talent of Packer’s Arts Department and provides an opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy an evening of music and art.

A half-hour concert in the Chapel featured musicians Pamela Agius, Linda Albert, Esther Harris, Martha Locker, Fran Onne-Fong, Nancy Ranger, Paul Riggio, Kate Stocker, and Jeremy Udden performing solo pieces ranging from opera to jazz to Bach. The group then collaborated on stage for a finale performance of L. Arditi's "New England Contryside," with video accompaniment by Michael Miller.

Following the performance, attendees joined artists Eric Baylin, Elizabeth Eagle, Risa Glickman, Michael Miller, Ken Rush, and Liz Titone for an exhibit and reception in the Carol Shen Gallery. An array of colorful media enveloped the gallery’s walls, ranging from Risa Glickman's watercolor paintings, to Eric Baylin’s fallen tree branch sculptures, to Elizabeth Eagle's mixed media artwork about Kenya.

Special thanks to the Parent Association and event co-chairs Anouchka Houser P'23, P'26 and Tejal Jinwala Patel P'23 for organizing this year’s installment of one of Packer’s most beloved annual traditions.
