
128th Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend
April 30–May 1, 2010
Over 200 alumni, faculty, and friends returned to Packer for the 128th Reunion.
Friday afternoon began with a chance for alumni to visit classes. The evening concluded with alumni, faculty, and trustees gathering for a
cocktail reception in the Blackburne Library.
The following morning featured a
reception for all alumni classes, including tours of the school’s expanded campus. Alumni enjoyed presentations by current Packer students and faculty, including a screening of Paul Riggio’s 2008 “Babbott” lecture and concert, “It’s OK, I’m with the band.”
At the annual meeting of the Alumni Association, Cynthia Gardstein ’66 IVAc succeeded Ainka Shackleford ’92 as President. Cynthia presented the Alumni Plate (the award for the class with the most members in attendance) to the Class of 1960 IVAc, celebrating their 50th Reunion. Louise Griffin Collins ’60 IVAc and Karen E. Lane ’60 IVAc, ’62 Co accepted the award on behalf of their class.
The Class of 1950, celebrating their 60th Reunion, earned the
Champagne Challenge Cup for the highest percentage of participation (44%) in Packer Annual Giving.
Ina Sussman Miller ’50 accepted the award on behalf of their class.
A luncheon in the Packer Commons and the Belle Alenick Baier Atrium concluded the weekend’s festivities.
